Late September 1972, I bought a Polaroid camera, a Square Shooter 2. That year at the University, when my girlfriend would visit, I started to take some nasty pictures. It was a great idea, cause I could use them for, um, personal reasons, when she was not visiting. After some time, there was a desire to take more action type photos, but the simple Polaroid did not have a tripod mount, a timer, or a remote shutter trip. So I made one, out of scrap wood, rubber bands, and bicycle parts.
In May 1975, we cataloged almost every position we knew. I had arranged a ride to her apartment, about 150 miles. Had a really exciting weekend, then hitchhiked back to my school with the Polaroid camera and all these photos, in my back pack. Eventually the pictures ended up in a photo album, hidden away in a drawer for over twenty years, and then, they were digitized, and cropped and posted on the internet. Now there are copies of them on hard drives all over the world.
There are some more, the ones taken before the contraption that allowed the action shots, then the ones after, around the time we got married in the late seventies. The Polaroid camera was used up until about 1981, when we bought a video camera, and started recording nasty movies on VHS.
Someone made this artwork for me about nine years ago. I don't remember who, sorry. It's one of my favorites, because I've got my face in her ass, and it's from back before I really knew I was such an ass man. Pre-fetish, you might say.
There's an artsy-fartsy B&W version, too.
There are twelve old Polaroids posted here at NN (so far). Here's a link to our gallery. Careful, your eyes might bug out.
